Fill in the gap initiative
I founded the Fill in the Gap initiative to provide students with essential life skills that are often overlooked in traditional classrooms or at home but are critical for success after graduation. The first two events were hosted in partnership with Chase Bank and focused on financial literacy, equipping students with practical knowledge in building credit, budgeting, saving, and personal finance management. To maximize outreach, I also collaborated with other campus organizations, partnered with the Office of Residential Life, and worked with the Resources for Impact and Student Excellence (RISE) Center, helping the program engage a larger student population and create a stronger culture of preparedness across campus.

North florida school for special education
I volunteered at North Florida School for Special Education, contributing across multiple programs to support student development and school fundraising. In the horse therapy barn, I assisted with preparing and leading horses during therapy sessions for students. I also helped in the dog treat workshop, where we produced and sold treats to raise funds for the school. Additionally, I served as a buddy during a fall school event, engaging one-on-one with a student through games and social activities to foster inclusion and connection.

Jacksonville excellence alliance
As a Volunteer Engineering Consultant, me and my team partnered with the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, we analyzed the existing parking lot occupancy data collection process and identified the root causes of concerns raised by the project champion. We then developed a comprehensive business case to support proposed solutions, ensuring recommendations were data-driven, actionable, and aligned with the organization’s operational needs.

Resources for Impact and Student Excellence (RISE) Center
Community Trustee
I work on a variety of projects designed to expand student opportunities and strengthen community partnerships. One of my most impactful contributions is helping to launch the First Wave Support Program, an initiative created to empower first-generation college students by providing mentorship, guidance, and access to essential resources. In addition, I collaborated with local nonprofit organizations to establish internship opportunities for students across more than eight academic majors. These internships were funded through government programs, allowing nonprofits to benefit at no cost while students gained valuable real-world experience. Through this role, I developed skills in program development, partnership building, and resource coordination, while making a meaningful impact on both students and the surrounding community.

Mentor
Undergraduate Mentor
I provided individualized, one-on-one support to an undergraduate underclassmen student, offering guidance tailored to their academic and professional goals. I shared study strategies, project approaches, and real-world insights from my own experiences to help them strengthen their coursework and problem-solving skills. Beyond academics, I offered advice on professional development, including reviewing and refining their resume, and connected them with campus resources that supported both academic and personal success. Through this mentorship, I helped the student persist through challenges and achieve meaningful progress, while also strengthening my own leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.

Office of residential life
Community Leader
I began working with the Office of Residential Life in 2022 as a Residential Assistant and was promoted to Community Leader in 2024. In this role, I help manage eight apartment buildings housing over 360 residents, where I focus on creating an inclusive and supportive living environment. My responsibilities include collaborating with facilities staff to resolve maintenance issues, coordinating emergency responses with first responders, facilitating roommate mediations, and leading Emotional Support Animal approval meetings. I also organize interactive programs and events designed to strengthen student engagement and community connections.
